國民黨總統初選民調今、明2天展開，立法院副院長洪秀柱今天(12日)表示，她審慎樂觀，希望盡量衝高民調；洪秀柱表示，她對國民黨有信心，認為不至於通過民調門檻而不提名她。洪秀柱也感謝立法院長王金平的祝福，表示如果被提名，要邀請王金平替她站台。
國民黨總統初選民調12日、13日進行，由3家民調機構進行，每家民調有效樣本數為1,200份，採對比式、支持度各50%，加總必須跨越30%，才能獲得提名。
唯一參選的立法院副院長洪秀柱12日表示，她對民調結果審慎樂觀，希望盡量衝高民調支持度。她說：『(原音)我一直都說審慎樂觀、有信心，我只希望民調能夠更高一點，讓我們支持者更有信心。』
由於挺王派動作不斷，媒體詢問洪秀柱是否擔憂即使民調過關，黨中央仍不會提名；洪秀柱表示，她對國民黨有信心，或許還有人有不同意見，但相信國民黨主席朱立倫有智慧說服他們。
針對立法院長王金平祝福她民調過關；洪秀柱表示，王金平一直對她很好，她非常感謝王金平；洪秀柱也表示，若獲得總統提名資格，要邀請王金平到中南部幫忙站台。
另外，民進黨主席蔡英文今天恰巧也到立法院出席民進黨團大會，2位總統參選人都在立法院，引發媒體關注。蔡英文表示，同樣都是女性從政者，她祝福洪秀柱；洪秀柱則表示，蔡英文來者是客，彼此祝福。
